The A Series delivers concentrated laser energy through a flexible handheld welding gun. Compared with many conventional arc-welding processes, the focused heat input can produce narrow weld seams, a smaller heat-affected zone and less workpiece deformation.
It supports common welding tasks including butt welding, lap welding, fillet welding, inside-corner welding and outside-corner welding. Welding can be performed with or without filler wire, depending on joint fit-up and production requirements.
Cleaning mode can be used to remove weld discoloration, light oxidation and certain surface contaminants before or after welding. It can help improve surface preparation and reduce separate manual finishing operations.
The achievable cleaning width and efficiency depend on laser power, optical configuration, contamination type and required surface condition. Wide-area rust or paint removal may require a dedicated cleaning lens or a separate laser cleaning machine.
The handheld cutting mode can perform limited cutting of compatible thin metal sheets using the appropriate cutting nozzle, gas and operating parameters.
This function is intended for occasional auxiliary work. It is not a replacement for a CNC fiber laser cutting machine when dimensional accuracy, automated nesting, high cutting speed or batch production is required.

*The listed thickness must be confirmed according to material type, joint design, welding speed, shielding gas, filler wire and required weld quality.
**Shielding-gas suitability depends on the material and welding process. Heavth will recommend the correct gas after reviewing your application.
The A70i is recommended for customers who primarily process lighter-gauge metal and place a high priority on compact size, mobility and lower electrical consumption.
Typical applications include light stainless steel products, thin enclosures, decorative metalwork, repair work and low-to-medium production volumes.
The A150i is the general-purpose option for workshops that process a wider range of stainless steel, carbon steel and aluminum parts.
Its 1500W output provides a practical balance between welding capacity, production speed, portability and input power. It is suitable for cabinets, kitchen equipment, metal furniture, doors, windows and general sheet metal fabrication.
The A200i is intended for customers requiring greater penetration, faster processing or longer daily production runs.
It is recommended for thicker compatible materials, larger workpieces, industrial fabrication and applications where the 700W or 1500W models do not provide sufficient process capacity.
Send Heavth the following information before ordering:
Metal type and grade
Minimum and maximum thickness
Joint type and gap size

Required welding, cleaning and cutting functions
Daily operating hours
Available electrical supply
Required weld appearance and strength
Heavth can then recommend the appropriate laser power, filler wire, shielding gas and process configuration.
The A Series is suitable for welding stainless steel products such as cabinets, sinks, kitchen equipment, enclosures, frames and decorative components. Laser welding can produce narrow, clean seams with limited heat discoloration when the correct parameters and shielding gas are used.
Carbon steel and mild steel can be welded with or without filler wire depending on the material thickness, joint condition and strength requirements. Nitrogen, argon or another approved shielding solution may be selected according to the desired result.
Galvanized steel can be processed after the material coating, joint structure, fumes and welding parameters have been evaluated. Adequate fume extraction is essential because heating zinc-coated material can generate hazardous fumes.
The machine can weld compatible aluminum alloys using the correct power, shielding gas, filler wire and surface preparation. Because aluminum reflects laser energy and conducts heat rapidly, its recommended welding thickness is generally lower than that of stainless steel or carbon steel at the same power.
Some copper, brass and specialty-metal applications may be possible, but results depend strongly on reflectivity, alloy composition, thickness and the laser source configuration. Sample testing is recommended before purchase.
Maximum welding thickness should never be selected by laser power alone. Actual penetration and weld quality are affected by:
Material type and alloy
Joint design
Joint gap and fit-up
Welding position
Welding speed
Focal position
Oscillation width
Filler-wire diameter
Shielding-gas type and flow
Single-side or double-side welding
Required weld strength and appearance
For an accurate recommendation, send Heavth sample materials or drawings. A recorded sample-welding test is recommended for critical applications.
The Heavth A Series combines handheld laser welding, weld seam or surface cleaning, and auxiliary thin-metal cutting in one machine. Operators can change between functions using the appropriate operating mode, nozzle and process parameters. The cutting function is intended for limited thin-sheet work and does not replace a dedicated CNC fiber laser cutting machine.
No. The A Series uses an integrated air-cooling system and does not require an external water chiller or cooling-water circuit. This makes the machine more compact, easier to relocate and simpler to maintain. It also avoids coolant replacement, leakage and freezing problems associated with water-cooled systems.
The A Series can weld stainless steel, carbon steel, mild steel, galvanized steel, aluminum and other compatible metals when the correct laser power, shielding gas, filler wire and process settings are used. Welding performance depends on the material grade, thickness, surface condition, joint design and required weld quality.
The listed maximum thicknesses are approximately 2 mm for the A70i, [A120i thickness] for the A120i, 4 mm for the A150i and 6 mm for the A200i. These values must be confirmed by material because stainless steel, carbon steel and aluminum have different welding limits. Joint design, welding speed and filler wire also affect penetration.
Yes. The machine can weld suitable aluminum and aluminum-alloy workpieces when configured with the correct power, process parameters, filler wire and shielding gas. Because aluminum reflects laser energy and conducts heat quickly, its recommended welding thickness is normally lower than that of carbon steel or stainless steel at the same laser power.
Yes. Autogenous laser welding without filler wire is possible when the parts have a close, consistent fit-up and the joint design is suitable. For larger gaps, uneven joints or applications requiring additional weld material, an automatic wire feeder is recommended to improve gap bridging, weld formation and consistency.
The supported wire diameter depends on the installed wire feeder, guide tube and welding nozzle. Common handheld laser welding configurations use filler wire from approximately 0.8 mm to 1.6 mm. Heavth should confirm the exact supported range for each model and recommend the appropriate wire material and diameter for the customer’s application.
Argon is commonly used for stainless steel and aluminum because it provides stable shielding and helps reduce oxidation. Nitrogen or compressed air may be suitable for certain carbon-steel processes, depending on the required weld appearance and quality. The final gas selection, purity, flow rate and pressure should be confirmed through process testing.
The cleaning mode can remove light rust, oxide layers, weld discoloration and certain surface contaminants when the correct cleaning head, focal lens and parameters are used. The achievable cleaning rate depends on laser power, contamination type, coating thickness and required surface condition. Confirm whether wide-area cleaning optics are included or optional.
No. The handheld cutting function is designed for occasional, auxiliary cutting of compatible thin metal. It does not provide the automated positioning, nesting capability, dimensional consistency or production speed of a dedicated CNC fiber laser cutting machine. For continuous precision cutting or batch production, a CNC laser cutting machine is the better choice.
An air-cooled laser welder uses fans and heat-exchange components instead of an external water chiller. It is generally more compact, portable and easier to maintain. A water-cooled machine may be more suitable for extended high-power production under demanding ambient conditions. The right choice depends on power, duty cycle, temperature and daily workload.
For suitable thin- and medium-gauge metal applications, handheld laser welding can be significantly faster than conventional TIG welding and may require less post-weld grinding. Actual productivity depends on the joint, material, thickness, operator and quality requirements. Any “four to five times faster” claim should be supported by a documented comparison test.
Operators need laser-rated protective eyewear selected for the machine’s wavelength and power, appropriate protective clothing, gloves, fume extraction and a controlled laser work area. The machine should use grounding protection, an emergency stop and a workpiece-contact safety interlock. Operators must receive laser safety and machine-operation training before use.
The current A Series specifications list AC 220V single-phase power. However, the required circuit capacity varies by model: the listed input power is below 2.2 kW for the A70i, below 4.5 kW for the A150i and below 6 kW for the A200i. The plug, breaker, cable and local supply must be checked before installation.
Choose the model according to material type, maximum thickness, joint design, production hours and required welding speed. The A70i is intended for lighter-gauge work, while the A150i and A200i provide greater penetration and production capacity. Send Heavth sample drawings or workpieces for testing before selecting a final configuration.
